This course will get you started with the fundamentals of Communicare in your role. 

This includes basic navigation of the Patient Biographics, Clinical Record, Documents & Results and the Service Recording, with a focus on either Clinical (medical, nursing, allied health, or health workers) or non-Clinical (reception or administration).

This course will provide users with an in-depth knowledge of key features and functions for differing user groups, to either extend your existing knowledge, or to assist and support others.

This includes the Patient Biographics, Appointment Book, Service Recording, Clinical Record, Documents & Results, Medicare, Medications, Reports, Recalls, Datasets, Reference Tables and User Access.

This course is designed to progress experienced users to become an Administrator (entry level), or Trainer.

Administrator  Become an entry level administrator by leveraging your existing experience with back end fuctionality used to build and maintain Communicare. This includes User Groups and Security, Appointment Book Scheduling, Letter Templates, Cliincal Items and Recalls, Referrals and Medicare Billing.

Trainer  Best practice learning principles and methodologies to assist in the  facilitation of Communicare software. Practice demonstrations and training activities to use in the workplace.

Customised Training


We quite often get training requests that do not fit within our framework. Contact us to discuss additional options to accommodate your training needs.


We have the flexibility to undertake full staff in-service Communicare training.  This can be particularly benficial following a major upgrade to the software.  One of our dedicated training facilitators will come onsite for a number of days. On completion, a training summary is provided, detailing attendances, content covered and any other recommendations.

Report Writing


Communicare is an SQL-based Firebird database. As such, users with the appropriate privileges can build their own report queries to export data from their database. This is an in depth course, exploring everything database and reporting so that once complete, users will be able to better manage the data they pull from Communicare. We are always taking expressions of interest for the course.
